Doodles

So, I am sitting in a meeting in Kenosha yesterday, listening to the rest of the people discuss the items on our agenda.  I don't know about you but I NEED TO DOODLE.  I cannot make it through even a 10 minute meeting without something to do with my hands.  This meeting lasted 5 hours!   I don't care about looking at who's speaking, I need to doodle.  I listen better when my hands are occupied.

So, I am doodling one of my more recent doodle favorites, which I am going to call  Peepers.  The more I doodled the more I like them, the more I wanted to take them a step past black ink on lined notebook paper.  I got home and took out my pastels, my paper, my ruler, my "stuff" and started doodling with a plan.  Peepers Sleeping 1 is done. Then I started on Peepers Looking 1.  Maybe I will finish tonight.  Or maybe I will keep my promise and post some more angels.....I need more time!

January is almost over and I haven't been on here for so long I forgot my password!  I am still working on my quilt.  The quilting is coming along, but quilting by hand is not a quick thing!  I have been lucky enough to be able to spend some time with my granddaughter and grandson, so the art and the quilt take a back seat.  I am starting to think about the pastels again.  I went to the Pastels on Paper exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum 2 times.  Daunting and inspiring!
